Nutritionist Joy Bauer loves yogurt—especially Stonyfield, Brown Cow, and Oikos! With two segments about yogurt in just a month, Bauer has been touting the health benefits of yogurt to all of the Today Show’s viewers. In her recent October segment, Bauer tells viewers that they should choose nonfat or low fat, and mentions that yogurt is an excellent source of calcium and healthy bacteria. While she makes her specific suggestions, the camera pans over Stonyfield 6oz cups, YoKids, Brown Cow, and Oikos.

A Great Choice for Kids
Today Show
Recently, on the Today Show, nutritionist Joy Bauer explained which naturally sweetened yogurts are healthiest for young children (September 21, 2010). Bauer suggests that when choosing naturally sweetened yogurts, it’s best to get six-ounce cups with 20 grams of sugar or less, and four-ounce cups with 14 grams of sugar or less. She tells viewers that Oikos Organic, Brown Cow, and Stonyfield yogurts are all excellent choices.

Yogurt and Tennis: An Unlikely Love Match

Our CE-Yo, Gary Hirshberg, was recently interviewed about Stonyfield’s US Open sponsorship on the popular cable television channel CNBC (September 2010). Gary explained the connection between playing tennis and eating a healthy, preferably organic diet. He also mentioned that in order to get people to purchase a premium, organic product, you have to get it in their mouth first—which he noted as one of the reasons we have such an enormous sampling!

Gary mentions that healthy snacks are now outselling unhealthy snacks and that yogurt is the number one–selling healthy kid snack in the category. Gary shows viewers our YoKids Squeezers and suggests that they can be frozen, stuck in the lunch box, and thawed just in time for lunch.
