Moist and perfectly golden biscuits that will impress your holiday dinner guests, but simple and made with ingredients kept on hand so they can be prepared as a last minute addition for your family dinner.
- 2 c flour
- 1/4 t baking soda
- 1/4 c oil
- 3 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 1 c Stonyfield Organic Low Fat Plain Yogurt
Calories: 120, Calories from Fat: 45, Total Fat: 5g, Saturated Fat: 1g, Sodium: 240mg, Total Carbohydrate: 16g, Sugars: 1g, Protein: 3g, Calcium: 8%, Iron: 6%
Preheat over to 375°.
In a bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
Add oil and yogurt and mix well.
Place dough on a board and knead until smooth.
Roll out to an inch thickness and cut in to 12 round biscuits using a cookie cutter.
Or make 12 round balls about 2 inches in diameter, place on a baking sheet and flatten.
Place biscuits on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on top.
