Responsible for providing process engineering support, implementation/commissioning services and maintenance support for manufacturing processes and equipment. Engineering services may include equipment specification, process design, equipment/skid layouts and process development/improvements in support of projects. Lead projects to deliver the business needs using sound project management knowledge and tools and full cooperation of the manufacturing facility.
Responsible for leading and providing the oversight of product quality and food safety compliance, to include: existing product quality, new product quality design and food safety, consumer complaints, finished product specification, and quality and food safety risk assessments. This position will work closely with several departments, including R&D, Plant Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing. Responsible for developing strategies for managing supplier quality with the Co-Manufacturer Quality Engineer, and managing quality and food safety activities of the organization’s supplier quality program. This position will have overall responsibilities for managing the department and supervise direct reports.
The R&D Scientist is responsible for leading R&D projects including developing product formulas, processing procedures, and specifications for new products, product enhancements, and cost reductions in order to achieve business objectives. The position also provides technical support to all Stonyfield departments as well as external vendors, co-packers, and customers.
Responsibilities include all production activities related to, Safety, Product Quality, Line efficiency, and ingredient usage for the assigned production line.
By working closely with the Director of R&D and Technical Services and Stonyfield business teams, the R&D Senior Scientist is responsible for leading long term innovation and new product development projects to ensure that the company’s long term growth meets the defined strategic quality and financial objectives.
Responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing processing equipment and distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision; resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.
