Tina Haupert from Carrots n’ Cake is a Massachusetts resident who not only runs after her son and her husband but also runs after the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Tina took a moment to fill us in on some questions we had for her.


1. What inspires you to run?
Running is such a stress-reliever for me. There’s nothing better than throwing on your sneakers, playing some tunes, and letting your mind wander for miles. It’s just the best feeling and I always return from my runs in an awesome mood. I sure love those post-run endorphins!

2. What’s the best part about being a mom for you?

There are so many, but my very favorite is making my son, Quinn, laugh. It’s absolutely adorable and warms my heart so much!

3. What’s your favorite race moment?
My favorite race moment was when I finished my first marathon (Rock ‘N’ Roll Arizona) back in 2011. During my training, my longest run was 20 miles, and I struggled with all sorts of injuries, so I was a little nervous about finishing. But, everything went great on race day, and I was so excited to see the finish line. I literally yelled, “Yes, yes, yes!” and pumped my fist in the air until I ran over it. It was one of the proudest moments of my life!

4. Do you have a favorite Stonyfield product?
I love the Stonyfield Vanilla Greek yogurt. It’s so versatile (in smoothies, baked goods, mixed with fruit and granola) and, of course, delicious on its own!

5. What’s your favorite meal to eat right now?
Lately, I’m really into breakfast sandwiches made with egg, cheese, bacon, and a buttery toasted English muffin. I also love a good cheese plate with crusty French bread and wine!

6. What does an average day in your household look like?
Oh, boy. Every day is different around here. The majority of my day involves taking care of Quinn (and Murphy, our pug), but I also try to squeeze in some blogging, freelance projects, and housework when I can (usually during nap time). Quinn and I also love getting outside first thing in the morning and running with the jogging stroller. It’s my favorite way to start the day!

7. Do you have a go-to post run indulgence?
A white chocolate chip iced coffee!
