Red, white and blue. Those are the colors of your normal everyday parfait, but not after today. What’s wrong with the American (or, French, if you want to get technical) colored parfait you ask? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The combination of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and plain yogurt is as tasty as it is sweet, but variety is the spice of life so I wanted to try something new. I wanted more colors, so to make that happen I did a little experimenting.
BG (before Greek) I was convinced that yogurt was only a breakfast item, but since being introduced to Greek yogurt , I know now that any variety of yogurt can be so much more. Whether it is using Greek while cooking or as a substitute for a less healthy ingredient like mayo, it takes the cake (you can use it in cake too!) in the “Use This at Any Time of the Day” category. That is a category for really awesome items, right?
Let’s take Greek to lunch, shall we? What better way to do that than to take a parfait and turn it into a protein-powered, flavorful bite.
