Do you give away or keep the things you bake during the holidays? That is the question. I’d propose the way to best prepare for holiday outings is to make something that you can either give guests, or give to the host of a party you attend. This fruity and savory bread can be served as dessert with ice cream, or as a breakfast treat with some One Step Pumpkin Butter, which is as easy as it sounds. So grab your favorite loaf pan, some cranberries and make your future-self happy that you thought ahead with this simple gift.

Ingredients

1 cup canned pumpkin

1 cup sugar

¼ cup water

2 tbsp. Stonyfield Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt

2 large eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 ground cloves

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

Directions

Preheat oven to 350º and grease a loaf pan, preferably an 8X4 inch pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, water, eggs and yogurt. Slowly add in flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and cloves and mix until smooth. Add in cranberries and then pour into loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean and let cool before serving.
