Here's why guys like organic, Greek yogurt!

By Evan Thomas of The Wannabe Chef

Who doesn’t like Greek yogurt? If your first instinct is to say, “guys don’t,” you’re not alone.

Greek yogurt, like most health foods, has seen a bias favoring women giving the impression that men don’t like to spoon and dip as much. Some men would even go on the record and say they “hate” the “trendy” health food. But do all men hate Greek yogurt?

Not at all.

Greek yogurt is one of the best foods for men in the market. Men’s Health praises it for its high protein and low sugar, calling it a”lifter’s dream”. On average Greek yogurt has 2 to 3 times the protein of its plain counterpart. What used to be a niche health food product can now be found on every street corner and in nearly 20 flavors. What’s not to love?

Here are 4 reasons why guys like Greek yogurt:

It’s Flavorful. If a product doesn’t taste good, the rest doesn’t matter. Thankfully Greek yogurt is delicious—clean and simple. Even better, it comes in a variety of flavors so there’s something for every guy’s palate. Cafe latte not sweet enough for you? Try pineapple. Or superfruit. Or blueberry. There are lots of choices.

It’s Portable. Everyone’s life is on-the-go these days. Few foods you can take on the bus, to the gym, on a road trip—wherever. Individual cups of Greek yogurt are simple to pack and carry. All you need to remember is the spoon! Want a breakfast at your desk? Bring in a banana and individual portion of granola.

It’s Full Of Protein. Protein is important for building muscle, and who doesn’t want muscles? Greek yogurt is high in protein and low in fat making it the perfect food for bulking up or just staying lean. Red meat can’t touch this health food.

It’s Trendy. Girls aren’t the only ones who talk in the locker room and talk about their feelings. Guys share their thoughts, too; when Gary from two cubicles down is talking about how much he loves Greek yogurt, the rest of us are willing to give it a try.

Guys and girls—what’s the number one reason you go Greek?
