POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Manager, Innovation and Insights will be a strategic business partner in the development of the innovation pipeline and will lead both innovation/renovation product projects and insights initiatives, working closely with Marketing, R&D, Commercialization Team, Customer Development, and Stonyfield Leadership. The role will bring new products to market in assigned categories under tight timetables to drive incremental growth. The incumbent must be able to drive insights to actionable results, align team to findings and implementation next steps. Experience with creative, quick/scrappy approaches to gathering insights will be essential to support fast moving business needs.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Direct the design and execution of research projects to uncover consumer needs, vet product concepts and ultimately define the new product bundle or product optimization opportunity
  • Independently own feeding the product pipeline with renovation and innovation within an assigned category to achieve long term strategic growth goals
  • Provide expertise in market research including defining and owning the learning plan
  • Present new business ideas in a clear, concise manner with supporting rationale
  • Demonstrate confidence, thought leadership, and comfort with taking risk in ambiguous situations
  • Manage the innovation and insights budget
  • High comfort level with collaboration and securing input from others
  • Able to communicate and influence senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Must have a combination of insights/market research, innovation/new products and/or CPG marketing experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Must have demonstrated experience creating and commercializing new products
  • Demonstrated ability to apply insights
  • Demonstrated analytical proficiency, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills and team collaboration
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, including the ability to present business information in a group setting
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Ability to operate in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Experience with ‘do it yourself’ insights approaches a plus
  • Experience with a purpose-driven brand a plus
