POSITION OVERVIEW: As a "personal contact" for our consumers, the Consumer Relations Representative responds to a wide range of consumer questions, comments and complaints, delivering information to satisfy the consumer and maintain a positive company image. He/she is responsible for making each consumer that he/she interacts with feel respected and important thereby reinforcing our identity as a company that cares about its consumers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Answer and respond to incoming consumer calls, emails, letters and other contacts in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Enter complete case information for each interaction accurately into the database. Provide follow-up consumer communication as needed.
  • Support products, marketing programs and company initiatives. Understand and communicate product features and benefits: key business practices, and subjects at the heart of the company’s mission. Requires a broad knowledge base relating to our products, ingredients, organic and dairy farming, health and nutrition, environmental responsibility and sustainability issues, and marketing promotional programs.
  • Manage consumer problems to a positive outcome. Requires excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills and an upbeat, positive attitude. Must possess a strong and consistent desire to be helpful, and conduct oneself so as to protect the interests of both the consumer and the company.
  • Support the maintenance of the Consumer Relations database into which calls, emails and other contacts are logged. Demonstrate a full knowledge of the Consumer Relations database software and ensures that data is entered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with the fulfillment of consumer coupons and promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition or related field.
  • Must have prior contact center experience.
  • Requires excellent attendance/punctuality for the efficient operation of our business.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills adaptive to a broad range of audiences.
  • Must be consistently upbeat, balances, thoughtful and concerned when dealing with any of our outside constituencies.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and able to multi-task.
  • Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Requires the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Ability to operate in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
