So hard to stay fit during holiday time

Heart Association.gifWe know...we know how hard it to keep up that exercise routine during December festivities and New Year's madness! Even if you can't keep it up, it's good to have a plan--for the new year and after all the craziness, if nothing else. Here's one that we think serves as a great guideline, brought to you by the folks at the American Heart Association. They call it their "F.I.T." formula--Frequency. Intensity. Time.

Frequency: Exercise on most days of the week; at least four.
Intensity: Get your heart rate up beyond normal for at least 30 minutes.
Time: 30 minutes of heart-pumping exercise each day is ideal. Don't forget to add in time for warming up, cooling down and stretching.

Take a look at all the exercise tips offered by the "Healthy Lifestyle" section of the American Heart Association. The website is full of free stuff, including exercise and food logs.
