Men and women view the election only slightly differently

The Washington Post is currently conducting a poll on its website: "What will be the single most important issue in your vote for president this year: the U.S. campaign against terrorism, the war in Iraq, the economy and jobs, education, health care, or something else?"

Among registered voters, here's the way the answers are coming in so far, broken down by gender:

The U.S. campaign against terrorism: Male 22% Female 16%
The war in Iraq: Male 16% Female 22%
The economy and jobs: Male 34% Female 28%
Education: Male 5% Female 7%
Health care: Male 7% Female 16%
Something else Male 13% Female 9%
DK/No opinion Male 2% Female 2%

Among both sexes, "The economy and jobs" is ranked number 1 in importance.

What would you answer and why? Write us with your comments using the comment box below.

I agree with Susan about the honesty and integrity issues, and also the morality of our country,
particularly what is protrayed on our
Television, and by teen idols. I,
however do not believe that we can blame this on President Bush. We
have Senators, congressmen,
representatives and the Supreme
Court to blame for alot of the
issues gone wrong. And we as
citizens are also to blame for not
standing up, speaking out, against
the astrocites taking place in our
country. We are sitting back, letting
things take place that should be stopped.

Sadly, there is not listed the category I would check: decency & integrity.
That is most important to me: it includes, honesty, care for others & the best world possible, so it also includes jobs, economy, education, health care, and not manufacturing terror and not sending young loved ones off to be slaughtered for Halliburton profit of an elite few such as #1 stockholder Bush family.

This administration is sorely lacking in decency & integrity & honesty. And the entire system could use a boost in this department.
