Recycling: our plastics will become sound barriers

Hooray!!! We recently shipped out a big shipment of mixed recyclable plastics that had been in our warehouse for quite awhile. Our former recycler for that waste stream had gone out of business and it took a while to find someone new to take this stuff....it's a mix of plastic types, #1, #2, #6 - you name it! So not a conventional commodity in the recyclables market.

Anyway, a new business named New Frontier Industries is just getting going near our plant in New Hampshire, and it makes fabulous recycled plastic products. We are so happy that they are now putting our mixed plastics to good use. New Frontier Industries makes a great sound barrier product made from 95% post-consumer plastics and will also soon be making a decking product as well. Maybe you can use some in your community or at your house?! Check them out.

Oh, lighten up!

LiteSmoothies.bmp Today marks the day we launch a new product at Stonyfield, our new Light Smoothies. These all natural light smoothies are made with organic nonfat yogurt and are available in three fruit flavors - Strawberry, Peach and Wild Berry. They're light and refreshing and they're full of natural benefits like calcium, protein, dietary fiber and six live active cultures. The inulin in our Light Smoothies helps increase calcium absorption, promote good digestive health and fortify the body's natural defenses. We lightened these up without resorting to artificial sweeteners. Read the nutrition facts about eacho of the three flavors: Wild Berry, Strawberry, and Peach.

YoBaby gains two new converts

YoBaby Fruit Supplier Guy.jpg

Dick Cornelsen, an organic fruit supplier to our company, stopped by for a tour of the Yogurt Works here in Londonderry, New Hampshire recently. While here, he managed to pick up a few gift t-shirts featuring YoBaby, and he brought them home to his Grand Babies. Here's Dick showing off the t-shirts or...more importantly...showing off the grandkids back at home in California.
