Strawberries with Fresh Basil and Balsamic Yogurt Sauce
Don't be afraid of this sweet and savory combination of strawberries and fresh basil. The flavor is sure to delight AND surprise.
|1⁄4||c||basil leaves (thinly sliced)|
|2||c||Stonyfield Organic Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt|
Slice strawberries and fresh basil leaves, mix together.
To prepare sauce, combine balsamic vinegar, white wine and brown sugar in a sauce pan, and heat on high until reduced by half, giving the mixture a syrup-like consistency.
Once reduced, cool the mixture, and then combine with one cup of the yogurt.
To serve, scoop the berries with the basil into a bowl or wine glass, top with yogurt and then with the balsamic yogurt sauce.
