Ingredients

Dipping Sauce
34cStonyfield Organic Low Fat Plain Yogurt
1tbspcapers
1tbspchives
1tsplemon zest
Mussels
2lbof fresh mussels (in the shell)
1cof dry white wine
12cof water
1 lemon (thinly sliced)
2tbspbasil (chopped)
2 garlic cloves

Directions

  1. Prepare dipping sauce by combining all the ingredients and mixing well.

  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  3. Scrub, clean and debeard mussels.

  4. Combine wine, water, lemon, basil and garlic cloves in a soup pot with a lid and bring to a boil.

  5. Once at a rapid boil, stir in mussels and cover.

  6. Steam mussels for 3-5 minutes or until they open.

  7. Discard unopened mussels.

  8. Serve in a large bowl accompanied by dipping sauce.
