Blue Cheese Dunk

A good, chunky blue cheese dip. It doesn't have quite the full flavor of the standard cream cheese or sour cream variety, but it is very tasty and has far fewer calories and less fat.

Ingredients

1cStonyfield Organic Fat Free Plain Yogurt
13clowfat cottage cheese
14ccrumbled blue cheese
2tspscallions (thinly sliced, white part only)
12tspWorcestershire Sauce
18tspsalt
1pinchfresh ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Using a yogurt cheese maker or layered cheese cloth, strain the whey from the yogurt for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  2. Put the strained yogurt into a medium bowl. Stir in the cottage cheese, blue cheese, scallions. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to blend all of the flavors before serving.
