The Way You Shop Could Change the World
Last month, Climate Counts – a new non-profit we’ve spearheaded and funded – had its official launch. Over the past year, Climate Counts developed a rigorous scorecard to rate companies on their actions to address climate change. On June 19th, Climate Counts released the climate performance scores for 56 well known companies including Nike, Apple, Dell, PepsiCo, Starbucks, Amazon.com, Burger King and McDonald’s. Stories in the New York Times, NPR’s Marketplace, CNN, BBC World service and many other news sources told both companies and consumers about this unique and powerful new tool designed to help stop global warming. Last month, Stonyfield volunteers helped to plant crops at Middle Branch Farm, an organic vegetable farm in New Boston, NH. |
Stonyfielders Make
a Difference!
Through our “Making a Difference” program, many Stonyfield folks volunteer in the community. We help with outdoor cleanups, projects at the local Boys & Girls Club, and fundraising events. Of course, we also help out on local farms! Our Making a Difference program lets us do it all during normal work hours and we still get paid for our time, which makes
it easy to support the
community
causes we care about! |
