This week we launched a new social campaign here at Stonyfield called #WakeUpWithStonyfield. It is a project that was long in the works and brought to life by many creative, talented individuals. It’s a project that has always excited me (just ask any of my co-workers) but upon launch, it unexpectedly moved me. I actually found myself a little choked up looking at the website on my phone yesterday morning.
Really? I know what you’re thinking; it’s just a yogurt campaign. But let me explain.
The idea for Wake Up with Stonyfield came from our fans. From our time spent with fans, to be exact. For thirty years our company has been waking up with people who love our yogurt. We’ve been passed around family kitchen tables. We’ve been spooned for energy after early morning runs. We’ve been shared straight from the cup beside cups of coffee. We’ve been packed into lunches, pulled out at the office, consumed in a bottle on the commute, and smeared across many sunlit highchairs.
How do we know this? Because you’ve told us. You’ve shared those morning moments with us over and over again. First through stories at farmers markets and events, then through hand written letters and photographs sent straight to Gary, our founder. We’ve heard from fans over email and chats with our consumer relations team. We’ve been stopped in the grocery store. These days, we’ve seen the ways Stonyfield has been part of your days through Facebook posts, tweets, and Instagram filters.
You might not realize just how much those shared moments mean to us but they are often the best part of our day. They are often our favorite way to wake up.
I, especially, feel incredibly privileged to be the one to hear from so many Stonyfield fans. I’m the lucky one who gets to ‘like’ photos of babies enjoying their first YoBaby. And send around screenshots of heartfelt tweets to my team. (Or drool over photos of recipes made with our Greek.) I’m the one who sees the way one little cup of organic yogurt can make a morning, make a difference.
With all of our fans in mind we set out to create a campaign that celebrated our love of mornings with you. We (selfishly) wanted you to keep sharing; to keep showing us what living a healthy lifestyle means to you. We wanted to bring everyone together around a #WakeUpWithStonyfield conversation.
So when I scrolled through the photos and tweets submitted yesterday, watching them flip onto the page, it was pure joy seeing the ways you all wake up. (Catching a mom and daughter hold hands on the walk to school. Teaching your son how to be part of a team at little league. Both a dog and a kid with a missing tooth. Making time to go for a run with your husband. Digging in to fresh strawberries and Stonyfield Greek…I could go on, I had so many favorites!)
I was sincerely moved by the collective power of posts and fittingly, I woke up a part of something bigger.
Thank you for choosing to share your wake up moments. I will look forward to seeing what the rest of the 60 days bring.
