This week, we’ve launched our new Grant a Farmer’s Wish campaign and I can’t think of a better way to start off the new year.
We’re awarding $31,000 in grant money to organic dairy farmers and inviting you to help us decide where the money goes. This campaign is one that is that is very exciting for us, and very important too. It’s a campaign that supports organic farming and helps to connect us all with the amazing CROPP/Organic Valley farmers that produce the milk for our yogurt. It’s a campaign focused on authentic ‘organic stories’. It’s a campaign about building support for our real-life heros; our organic farmers.
And what’s more, it is just the first of many. We’ve got multiple initiatives planned for the new year that continue the important discussions around why organic matters. We thought there was no better place to begin than where organic begins – on the farm. That’s why we’re kicking off 2011 with our Grant a Farmer’s Wish campaign.
We hope you’ll join us throughout the year, and we hope you’ll start now by getting to know six amazing farmers and placing a vote to help us grant their wishes. Your participation will help us to fund innovative organic farming projects that will make a strong environmental impact and improve the long-term viability of organic farming.
Visit our facebook page at www.facebook.com/stonyfieldfarm to read their stories, watch their videos, and VOTE for the proposal that makes a difference. We’ll award $10,000 to the farmer that gets the most votes, $7,500 to 2nd and 3rd place, and $2,000 to 4th-6th. Every vote counts.
Get to know some great Organic Valley farmers. VOTE. And share the news with your friends.
We look forward to hearing your own organic story soon and we appreciate your joining us in support of organic farming.
Why does organic matter to you?
