How did your company get started?
Sambazon’s journey began in 1999 when we experienced a bowl of acai (ah-sign-ee) during a surf trip to Brazil. When we discovered that sustainable harvesting of Amazon superfoods like acai could create jobs and help protect the rainforest, we made it our mission to share these amazing fruits with the world!

Tell us about one thing your company is working on right now that you are super excited about.
We’re really excited to be expanding into Asia so we can share our superfood products with a greater audience. This translates into an increased opportunity for the organic certified family farmers we work with in the Brazilian Amazon.
What is your favorite flavor of Stonyfield yogurt (or product)?
