Good morning and welcome to 2015! What a glorious time to be alive. What’s that, you don’t feel alive? Maybe you were up late watching the ball drop and now you’re a bit under the weather. Let’s detox that beautiful body of yours with this smoothie. Ginger is said to relieve upset stomachs while honey, kale, chia, and blueberries are naturally healthy additions for you to drink up.

If you’ve been following along with our 7 Days of Smoothies since December 26, 2014, then congratulations, today is the last day! If you’re just joining in then what a wonderful day to do so, because this smoothie might be my favorite of them all. Happy New Year.

Detox Ginger Kale Smoothie

Ingredients

1 ripe banana, peeled and frozen

½ cup frozen blueberries

2 cups kale leaves

2 tsp. ginger, peeled and grated

1 cup Stonyfield Milk

1 cup Stonyfield Plain Lowfat Yogurt

1 tbsp. chia seeds

1/8 tsp. cinnamon

2 tsp. raw honey

Step 1: Blend all ingredients together until smooth and enjoy!

Step 2: Drink the whole smoothie and feel yourself coming back to life.
