If you’re craving something cold and creamy, Real Simple magazine suggests scooping up some YoBaby yogurt instead of ice cream (January 2011)! “You’ll find this smooth-as-custard treat tastes richer than ice cream regardless of your age and you’ll get a dose of protein and calcium, but a lot less sugar, fat and calories,” the editors say.

Our Grant a Farmer’s Wish campaign made a splash in the online world. Appearing on major internet news sites from the Huffington Post to Babble.com, photos of the farmer finalists and links to their videos and stories appeared to millions of online readers, drawing a plethora of votes and new fans to the Stonyfield Facebook page (January 2011).

Slash Food: “Organic Milk Beats Conventional Milk for Nutrition"

Stonyfield is featured in the Slash Food article, titled, “Organic Milk Beats Conventional Milk for Nutrition (January 19, 2010).” The article examines a Newcastle University study which reveals that organic milk is nutritionally superior compared to conventional milk, and has less saturated fat and more good fatty acids, like omega-3s. This news is certainly not a shocker to us here Stonyfield, as we’ve found this in our own Greener Cow Program results for quite some time.

Healthy foods that decrease belly fat

SELF editor-in-chief, Lucy Danzinger, recently appeared on the CBS Early Show recommending healthy foods that decrease belly fat. Along with avocados and bananas, Danzinger touted the benefits of Greek yogurt – featuring Oikos Organic Greek yogurt, and several other brands. Editors suggest “feeding your choco fix and building your bones too.”

YoBaby Meals a Hit!

Phil Lempert, the “Supermarket Guru,” declares YoBaby Meals a HIT! He rates them a 96 out of 100, and recently shared his thoughts on ABC News Online. Phil talks all about the benefits of including more fruits and veggies in babies’ diets, and admits that he eats the whole milk yogurt himself! The ABC News anchor adds that she has YoBaby Meals in her refrigerator at home.
