Stonyfield CE-Yo, Gary Hirshberg, and "Fast Food Nation" author, Eric Schlosser, recently co-wrote an opinion piece for the San Francisco Chronicle about consumers’ right to know what’s in their food –specifically urging labeling for genetically modified organism (November 22,2011). The article also mentions a consumer petition called "Just Label It" through which over 500,000 people have signed to urge the FDA to mandate genetically engineered food labeling nationally.
