The Importance of Vitamin B12

First Magazine

According to First Magazine(June 2009), vitamin B12 deficiencies are on the rise—caused in part by an increase in gastrointestinal health issues and the drugs we use to treat them. Having low amounts of B12 can lead to “foggy thinking, debilitating tiredness and mood swings,” claims the magazine. In order to help regain proper amounts of this vitamin, it is suggested that people eat two eight-ounce servings of yogurt containing live active cultures, per day. Our very own Stonyfield Farm yogurt is the suggested product to purchase.

Time Magazine

Time Magazine (June 2009) positively reviews the hot new film Food, Inc., digging deep into the issues currently plaguing the industrialized food system in America. Stonyfield and our CE-Yo Gary Hirshberg are featured in the film as an example of how organic food and sustainable agriculture positively affects the environment and the financial health of family farms.

Stonyfield Can Soothe Your Leaky Gut

This syndrome is rising to epidemic levels, and about 1 in 5 people suffer from it. One way to counterbalance the bad bacteria is with the good bacteria that Stonyfield yogurt has to offer. The article specifically notes our “study-backed” B. lactis and L. bulgaricus strains.
