Stonyfield Farm Serves up US Open Sponsorship with a Side of Healthy Food to Go
Sponsorship includes Stonyfield Café, Serving Organic and Natural Food at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center's Food Village
Londonderry, NH (August 26, 2010) - Stonyfield Farm, the world's largest organic yogurt maker, has again entered into a one-year sponsorship agreement with the US Open to promote the company's organic yogurt brands. New in 2010, the company will introduce Stonyfield Café, the first grab-and-go dining option dedicated to serving organic and natural food options in the Food Village. The second-time partnership will again include a large product sampling effort and sponsorship of “US Open Live,” the live streaming of the US Open on USOpen.org.
“We look forward to once again being part of the highest-attended sporting event in the world,” says Stonyfield President and CE-Yo Gary Hirshberg, “It’s especially exciting to introduce the Stonyfield Café at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center this year. Our mission promoting healthy food, healthy people, a healthy planet and healthy business makes this unique partnership with the US Open a great match. While watching tennis matches between some of the most fit athletes in the world, it only seems logical to have healthy, fresh, natural and organic offerings available to fans.”

The Stonyfield Café’s menu offers tennis fans healthy, organic and/or natural options such as fresh salads, flatbread sandwiches and soups, as well as organic Honest Tea beverages.
As part of this year's partnership, Stonyfield plans an ambitious US Open sampling program from multiple mobile carts offering tens of thousands of free samples of Oikos organic Greek yogurt, YoKids Squeezers, and their new B-Well and B-Healthy organic yogurts.
In addition, Stonyfield will serve as a presenting sponsor of “US Open Live,” the live-streaming of the US Open on USOpen.org. In 2010, USOpen.org, the official website of the US Open, will offer the most extensive live streaming in the history of the event, airing all domestic television windows for free (more than 200 matches), including the Men’s and Women’s Singles Finals. Stonyfield will also be integrated throughout the official website of the US Open.
The 2010 US Open will be held Monday, August 30 through Sunday, September 12. The tournament will be broadcast by CBS, ESPN2 and Tennis Channel.
