Milestones
We started as a nonprofit agricultural school on a hilltop farm and evolved into the organic yogurt company we are today. So we’ve done some changing. But we’ve also stayed the same. Right from the beginning, we’ve been committed to healthy food, healthy people and a healthy planet. How better for us to show you Stonyfield’s evolution than with stones? Milestones, that is.
2006
A research first
With a $450,000 donation, we help The University of New Hampshire start the nation’s first organic dairy research farm at a land grant school.
Across the pond
In partnership with Groupe Danone, we establish Stonyfield Europe to create and grow organic dairy enterprises overseas. Yogurt maker Stonyfield France is born shortly thereafter.
2007
Climate Counts
To show consumers how to fight climate change with their purchases and investments, we fund a new nonprofit called “Climate Counts” and create the consumer website ClimateCounts.org.
The Greek odyssey begins
We create an authentic Greek yogurt called Oikos.
Morganic
An abundance of organic milk and fruit supplies allows us to convert all of our fat-free yogurts to organic. Now everything we make is organic.
2008
Yogurt for mommies
We create YoMommy, the first yogurt formulated to help meet the nutritional needs of pregnant and nursing women. Unfortunately it was short-lived, lasting not much longer than a pregnancy.
Gary writes a book
Our CE-Yo publishes his book Stirring It Up: How to Make Money and Save the World.
2009
26 years of tasty, healthy yogurt
Thanks to you and our other yogurt lovers, we’ve been making delicious yogurt, and doing some good for the earth, for twenty-six years!
YoBaby gets a sibling
We introduce YoBaby Meals, a delicious 3-in-1 combination of organic yogurt, fruit and veggies.
2010
Packaging made from plants
We introduce multipack yogurt cups made from plant-based plastic, reducing the total global-warming impact of our packaging by 9%. Learn more.
myStonyfield Rewards
Our new rewards program gives our yogurt lovers free yogurt and great eco-rewards.
We get a makeover
Using photos of the real family farms that supply us with organic milk, we give our cups and website a great new look.
2011
Just Eat Organic!
Accompanied by “The Stonyfield Moms,” our CE-Yo Gary cuts a music video that draws more than 134,000 YouTube views.
