Apply for a PFP grant

Profits for the Planet supports efforts that help protect and restore the environment and generate measurable results.
Our funding priorities fall into 4 principal categories:
- Family farming
- Slowing or reversing climate change
- Organic agriculture and reduction of toxins in agriculture and the food supply
- Avoiding adverse health impacts from environmental and agricultural practices
In 2012, we’re changing our grant application procedure for Profits for the Planet. Unlike years past, we will now have two application deadlines and will notify applicants, if they are accepted for funding, approximately 6-8 weeks after those deadlines. The first deadline is March 1, 2012, and the second deadline is August 1, 2012. Applications submitted after one of these funding deadlines will be considered in the applicant pool for the next funding period.
To apply for a grant, please use the following guidelines:
Tell us who you are, what your mission is, what your goals are, how you plan to achieve them, what you've accomplished, and how you'd use the grant. Please limit your proposal to no more than 3 pages. Also, please indicate if there is a deadline associated with your proposal. Include a detailed project budget and, where applicable, proof of 501(c)3 tax-exempt status. We also suggest that applicants submit a tiered proposal with the cost of each item broken out. That way, if we cannot provide the full requested amount for your project, we might be able to grant partial funding. Please send your request by email to pfp@stonyfield.com.
Through Profits for the Planet, we have stepped up our support for labeling of genetically engineered food, and we’re also fulfilling some multi-year agreements. Therefore, the funds we have available for new grantees in 2012 are quite limited. We appreciate your understanding and urge you to check this page for updates on funding availability.
Thanks for your interest in our Profits for the Planet program.
