Maintenance Technicians (12hr night shift)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing processing equipment and distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision; resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Perform routine inspections of processing equipment(Homogenizer, Separator, Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers) and initiate preventative maintenance programs to ensure the reliable and safe operation of equipment is sustained.
Ability to assess equipment in order to write preventative maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot control circuitry including PLC hardware. ASI or Devicenet experience a plus.
Demonstrate ability to work with high voltage equipment. This will include troubleshooting and the understanding electrical prints.
Complete routine paperwork such as filling out pm work orders, recording inspection results, recording parts used from inventory stores and recording necessary readings on log sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
Install and ensure optimum operation of processing equipment ensure all areas of safety are maintained during set-up and training
Demonstrate a professional proactive approach to work by identifying areas for improvement and strengthening overall process operations
Identify and work from drawings, verbal instructions or sketches on equipment and systems
Cleans and maintains a clean work area both in shop and floor
Operate all process equipment to perform functional operating checks and ensure work was performed as required
Demonstrate the ability to understand all processing functions and apply this knowledge to optimize efficiency
Keep technical skills current through training and education and deliver training to others on areas of competency
Work in a safe and professional manner demonstrating positive attitude and professional demeanor in the performance of daily work
Attend monthly process team meetings. They may occur on a different shift.
Support TPM initiatives including PSG’s, Breakdown Analysis, 5 why, etc..
Perform other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve the environmental performance of their assigned portion of the organization.
·Support environmental programs established within the organization to include recycle all office wastes according to program guidelines, initiate power conservation techniques by turning off lights and Computers when not in use.
·Proactively look for ways to reduce negative impacts on the environment
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Proactively work in a safe manner in the context of performing the functions of your position
·Oversee the implementation and adherence to Company safety practices and programs and hold staff accountable for leading safety in the work place.
QUALIFICATIONS
·Associates degree in the industrial arts, licensed electrician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's desired.
·Must be flexible to accomplish the necessary tasks.
·Work additional time on a daily or weekly basis if necessary.
·Scheduled work days and hours may be altered depending on job demands.
·Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
·Mechanical aptitude and ability.
·Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
·Ability to operate in a team environment
·Ability to adapt in a changing work environment and multi task on several projects at once
