Wondering if he'll make a good dad? Look in his face

Experts say a new study reveals that women are apparently programmed to recognize which men they meet might be interested in raising a family. Women pick up facial clues that tell them that a long-term relationship with this guy--perhaps having children with him--may not be a bad idea.

The study of a small group of adults ages 18 to 33, was published last week in a British scientific journal. First, the men had their testosterone levels checked while looking at images of adults and children. Then women were asked to look at photographs of the men taken as the men looked at images, and rate the men on their attractiveness and how likely they were to want a relationship with him. The women did well on rating the men on their interest in babies. They also correctly identified the men who had less interest in children. Just what it is that clued these women is remains a mystery. Researchers guess it's something in the face. "Women make very good use of any information they get from a man's face," one researcher said.

Hmmmm...so what do you see in the face of that guy next to you on the couch?
