  • We were the nation’s first dairy processor to pay farmers not to treat cows with the synthetic bovine growth hormone rBGH.
  • In 1997, Stonyfield Farm was America’s first manufacturer to offset 100 percent of its CO2 emissions from its facility energy use.
  • YoBaby was the first certified organic whole milk yogurt for babies and toddlers and the first baby yogurt to include DHA.
  • We were the first company to offer cow sponsorships, through our Have-A-Cow Program, which  exposes people to life on a farm through the eyes of a cow.   
  • Stonyfield Farm’s $450,000 gift supports the first organic dairy at a land-grant university, at the University of New Hampshire.
  • Environmentally conscious yogurt producer Stonyfield Farm was the first for-profit corporation to register its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with the State of New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation voluntary registry.

National Wildlife Federation’s National Conservation Achievement award in Corporate Leadership for the company commitment to sustainability.  

2006 Green Power Leadership award from the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S Department of Energy. The annual awards recognize leading national green power purchasers and suppliers for their commitment and contribution to helping advance the development of the nation’s green power market. Award will be presented early December.
