I’m a tall, reddish-brown Jersey cow, the type of cow that makes rich, creamy milk. Jonathan, my farmer, refers to me as “outstanding.” That’s because I am a good looking cow, healthy, well-built and very tall. I had my first calf, a bull, on June 25, 1997 and I’ve been producing close to five gallons of milk a day ever since. All of the cows on my farm live in a free stall barn. That means that we can walk around and lay down as we please. We like it because we are a really social group. When we have visitors, we like to greet them. We’ll go over and check them out by sniffing and licking them. We are certainly a curious bunch. I am the oldest cow in the herd born January 3, 1995.
