Download my Bio | Get a Quarterly Moosleter ![]() My name is Tuttle, born to Stardust on April 23, 2006. The family lineage can be traced back to Little Star, the family matriarch, she was purchased from a farm in Franklin County Vermont in 1980 as a 2 day old calf. Her birthday was 3-23-80. My name, as with the rest of the family line, is after a celestial event. Tuttle is short for Swift Tuttle a comet that passed through the Earth’s orbit in 1862, the first comet of the century! It was supposed to return in 1984 after journeying beyond Pluto but didn’t reappear until 1992. Swift Tuttle is responsible for the Persied meteor showers that we see every August. Meteors are bits of debris and dust that when heated by the sun release gas; this is the light that we see as falling stars. It can be a spectacular show of color, spotting the sky. This makes it an appropriate name for me as I am spotted and colorful. I look forward to sharing my experience on our farm and carrying on the family tradition with the Have-a-Cow program.
