Climate change is one of the most critical issues of our time. Stonyfield Farm has been actively engaged for over two decades in climate change and efforts to reduce our contributions to global warming. Here is our 4-step approach to reducing global warming and climate change:

OFFSET

While Stonyfield Farm’s efforts in the mid 1990’s focused on reducing energy use at our “Yogurt Works,” we recognized that despite best efforts to reduce emissions, the factory was still releasing GHG emissions and contributing to climate change. Hearing of an electric utility investing in reforestation projects to offset the GHG emissions from its operations, we set out to learn how it could do the same for our energy use.

EDUCATE AND ADVOCATE

We believe it’s our responsibility to engage our stakeholders in a dialogue on climate change. Through our moosletter, lids, website and community marketing we communicate frequently on ways individuals and businesses can take action on climate change.
