Everything We Make
is Organic!
This month, we achieved a dream I've had for 25 years. With the conversion of our
6-oz fat free yogurts to organic, everything we make is now organic! I could not be more excited. A couple weeks ago, we even shut down our Yogurt Works for an afternoon so we could all get together to celebrate. Read More |

Get the Score While You’re
in the Store
You’re in a store, about to buy something, when you realize you know nothing about the environmental practices of the company that made that something. What do you do?
Here’s an option: take out your cell phone and text “cc” and the name of the company (Motorola, Levi Strauss, Apple, etc.) to 30644. The non-profit group Climate Counts will then text back a climate ranking for that company, which will tell you whether you’re about to cast a vote for a climate-change pacesetter or a climate-change foot dragger.
Climate Counts offers this free “On-The-Go” text messaging service in partnership with the socially and environmentally minded long-distance and cell phone service provider Working Assets Wireless. |

Vitamin D in Our Fat Free
When we converted our fat free yogurts to organic on the 1st of this month, we also added vitamin D, which offers a bunch of important health benefits. Vitamin D…
- increases calcium and phosphorous absorption, which decreases the risk of osteoporosis;
- has immune-boosting properties;
- may help to reduce 17 different types of cancer;
- may decrease the incidence of multiple sclerosis;
- helps to maintain optimal muscle strength;
- benefits diabetics and those with hypertension.
We’ll be adding vitamin D to more of our yogurts this winter, so stay tuned!
